Who are we?

Paracelsus Medical Private University has the highest expectations in its specialized fields, and whose focus is in education and research in human medical field and in additional academic fields in health sciences. A degree program for human medicine and a postgraduate program in molecular medicine are offered, as are various professional further learning courses and certificates at university level.

The patient is the focal point of this endeavor. It is our goal to create, maintain and encourage a stimulating environment in which students, doctors, researchers and teachers work together to apply science and human medicine and its related fields for the good of humanity (create a dialogue between research, education and patient care).

Each year, the most eligible students are selected from qualified applicants from here and abroad. The selection is made regardless of the applicants’ economic, social or cultural backgrounds. This selection process is carried out in a testing procedure and a personal interview with standardized criteria. The scholarship system insures social fairness and equal opportunity. Throughout the course of studies, the strengths and talents of hard working, critical thinking young people are challenged and stretched.
