As Europe’s most modern University for Health Sciences, UMIT in Hall in Tyrol is not only able to specialise in new lines of work and areas of research, but also in the current challenges that health care bring. UMIT’s expertise lies in the areas of biomedical informatics, health sciences and nursing sciences.

Along with these fields of study, academic programs are offered which enable the university to offer high quality further education in each of the areas where modern health care has proved itself to be of increasing importance.

In close cooperation with the Innsbruck Medical University and the Leopold-Franzens University Innsbruck, UMIT provides the highest level of research and teaching. The university is completely owned by the county of Tyrol and is the nucleus of the cluster of Health and Life Sciences in Tyrol.
